Hello everyone

skitch
Well, since news is often slow around here, I may as well introduce myself. I'm skitch, and I've stepped in as Chief of Web Development.
Most of my work so far has been technical tweaks here and there, but I've tried to get a few new features up.
Over on the right, you can subscribe to both the News and Podcast RSS feeds, so you can be the first to know when something new goes up. There's the Official Apt-T twitter over there too.
Something little, the header in the forums now links back to the main page, I know that's been a gripe.

I plan on getting a few pages added to the site, but I'll talk more about that when they're closer to completion

Well, that's all I have for now. Take it easy!

One more podcastless week

Dave
We sincerely apologize. We've got a couple more things to wrap up before we can get back to business as usual. Phil's going to be putting up an article on some recent gaming he's done, however, and I 99% guarantee the podcast will be back next week.

Until then, might I suggest you all download the Plants vs. Zombies demo, and spam Phil's e-mail with commands to finish episode 10 at a decent time.

No Podcast This Week

Dave
As can be seen on the forums, we've got some major stuff to take care of on the business side of Apt-T, and couldn't find time to work in the podcast this week. It WILL be back next week, with the reading of the Limericks and whatnot, as well as all that sassy Dave and Phil (and skitch) goodness.

Apt-T does have some changes on the way, all of which will hopefully result in you guys getting shows and written content faster and more often. I'll get details out the instant we know they're confirmed.

If you really want some podcast love, head over to paulandstorm.com and check out theirs. It's probably better than our anyway.

Podcast: Episode 10: They're idiots, and Phil's an idiot for listening to them... among other reasons.

Dave

It seems skitch is here now to stay
for he was here last week and today.
A permanent guest
cool as Jonny Quest
He rocks shit and Phil is still gay.

On a less limericky note, it was unbelievably hot on saturday when we recorded, so there was a lot of fan noise in the podcast. I EQd it out, but it does kinda give the sound a sort of underwatery, other room type effect. It's all still perfectly understandable and hilarious, just not dying from heat stroke > perfect audio.

Podcast 9: Electronic Excrement Expo - Redux

Dave

O Phillip you skank
refusing to make a post
now I must do it.

Today's podcast is
an evaluation of
E3 - you know it.

With skitch joining us
no one can stand in our way
not the haiku police.

They're a bunch of douche
Wrapped in a brown paper bag
thrown into the trash.

Apt-T Tutorial

Dave
I've had a few questions in my e-mail about the titles for 28 below, and wanted to direct anyone with similar questions to this video.

It's basic tutorial on Garbage Matteing, which is how I managed to get the text to go behind the brick columns and whatnot. It actually launched the same day as 28 below, and I just kinda forgot about it, so here you go.

Dude, Where's my Podcast? Episode 8 - E3 Edition

Philly

Sorry for the delay on this weeks podcast folks. Anywho, this podcast was pretty crazy. We invited special guest Chelsea (The voice of Lucia) to come in and talk about how she got started working with us, but that didn't last long, as we started to go down some very strange avenues of conversation. You really have to hear it to understand. Also we discuss some of what was announced at the 1st day of E3 2009.

An die schönen Laughen Tracken

Dave
We've got a bit of delay on the podcast, should still make it by the end of the night. The end of our night, at least, you crazy Brits.

One thing I've wanted to see for a while on apt-t.com is articles written about machinima. This will be my first attempt. More behind the jump.

(Edit: Apparently CuteNews doesn't automatically put in a jump button. Hit the comments link for the full article)

Podcast 38: I'd Shocker HER Bio

Dave

Sorry for the almost week delay in the podcast. I had some family emergencies come up that kept me from getting everything put together. It's out now though, so enjoy.

Addendum:
This is even a week later than I originally wrote this post. The guys who do our hosting had their sprinkler system go off, which pretty much completely fucked over their servers, which are, essentially, our servers. Thankfully they kept good backups, and we're up and running again, with a sweet new podcast. We've also submitted some new shows to machinima.com, which will hopefully be out soon, and Phil got his account back active to start work on DWMM10. Good times.

Podcast 37: The Effect is quite Massive

Dave

Phil talks about Mass Effect like I talk about Dragon Age.

On another note, I've reactivated me EVE Online account after discovering during my 5 day free reactivation that the game has improved greatly. If anyone cares to find me, I'm chilling around in the Minmatar regions under the name Parleion.

Also, LOST comes back on in the US tonight. You should probably watch it. It's going to be amazing.
