GTA 4 was the first one I completed without cheats. I would say that SA was my favourite though

Re: Whats your Favorite Grand Theft Auto Game?
i actually have beaten all of them without cheats. (except for chinatown wars, since i haven't beaten that one yet)
as for my opinion on the best in the series, i genuinely believe that each numbered entry has been better than the last, and that each subtitled entry has only been marginally better than its respective originator.
3 was obviously the biggest step in the series, and i remember playing it the day it came out, and being amazed at how it looked, and how much freedom you had. as such, 3 is probably my favorite, though i did really like the parachuting ability in SA, and i'm glad they're bringing that back in gay tony.
i think 4 is really good, but they removed a lot of things that i liked about previous entries in the series, so yeah. though from the videos, it looks like they're bringing back some of the funner stuff in gay tony.

Re: Whats your Favorite Grand Theft Auto Game?
Vice city was good mostly because it described a sand box well for when it came out, plus it's set in miami (liberty city modeled off of) where i happen to live, wierd to think about i am talking to someone on the other side of the country. anyway i only disliked that in vice city and somewhat in san andres the characters weren't well rounded and just kill bots without any real emotion. gta 4 is great with character developement, its beutifully done graphically, and i like the modern new york feel it gives although no where near enough taxis.
